Provides an overview of the Precomputed routes module
What is Precomputed Route Service
Use the Precomputed route module to store precomputed routes and use it when the specific routing is required. Predefined routes help reduce human navigation errors and provides specific routing requirements better than the standard navigation. The key use cases of precomputed routes are:
- Security/High-value goods: Provides predetermined safe routes for valuable cargo (shipments)
- Operational constraints: Forcing specific behaviours (e.g., FedEx never turning left due to right-side doors)
- Regulatory compliance: Provides ADR (hazardous materials) routing requirements
- Cost optimization: Provides the routes via specific fuel stations or avoiding tolls
- Driver capability: Provides guidance for drivers for the unfamiliar with local roads/languages
- Infrastructure requirements: Rigid bus lines, specific tunnel usage

Why use Precomputed Route Service
Purpose I: Store new precomputed routes
Scalar allows users to store new precomputed routes in ptv, sif, or gpx formats. An ID will be assigned to new routes and can later be passed via the Scheduled Trip API for each mission via the routeId parameter.
