Provides an overview of the Spot subcontracting module
What is Spot Subcontracting
Use the Spot Subcontracting module to create spot subcontracted trips and receive feedback on these trips. Spot subcontracting is a low-level entry solution to receive feedback on trips that are executed by subcontractors. The subcontractors enter this feedback in a web form and thus no installation is required to get started. The trip can contain multiple loading and unloading actions which must be completed by the driver in the given order. The feedback for each action includes information of the arrival and departure (time and location), feedback comments, and uploaded documents. Each of the uploaded documents can be downloaded.

Why use Spot subcontracting
Purpose I: Find a last-minute solution
SCALAR allows you to create a trip that can be executed by anyone, having a unique URL for that trip. This helps in finding a last-minute solution for the capacity problem. When a trip is created you receive a unique URL, which is only accessible as long as the trip is not completed. This URL can be sent to a driver who is accepting this job.
Purpose II: Get feedback without hassle
A driver who is only doing a single trip for a customer does not have to invest time to install an application and learn how it works before giving feedback for a trip. With this solution, there is no need to install and providing feedback is very easy.
Use Cases
Use case I: Create trip
- Easily create a trip by providing the loading and unloading.
- Pass a free text address to guide your driver towards the correct.
- Receive the unique URL (to be sent to a driver) and a trip ID (to poll for feedback).
Use case II: Get feedback
- The feedback entered by the driver is immediately available in the Scalar system.
- This feedback can be polled regularly.
- Documents uploaded by the driver can be retrieved by using the file ID which is delivered in the feedback.
