Overview

What is Sensors

Use the Sensors module to receive and store all the requested sensor data. It allows to consume aggregate data by internal services. It allows to receive specific events from the dispatcher processor and stores information regarding the asset’s sensor data. The data collected from sensors, helps to view or export raw data and further analyse in a user-friendly way. It allows users to view all the data received from sensors associated with fleet operations at one central place.

Why use Sensors

Purpose I: Retrieve sensors data

SCALAR allows you to retrieve a list of sensors data and related details. These details are the Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) details such as tyre pressure, speed, temperature, and power. Also, details related to an asset such as latitude, longitude, odometer, axle load, and fuel level are also retrieved. It allows to store any kind of signals received from the fleet. All the real-time data is collected and stored for later use.

Purpose II: Retrieve sensors data for a particular asset

SCALAR allows you to retrieve a list of sensors data for a particular asset ID with all the required details such as axle load, EBS, latitude, longitude, and other details.

Use Cases

Use case I: Display Sensors list

  • View the exceptions against the monitored thresholds.
  • Provides a list with respective details.
  • Extracts the stored real-time data and is used for data analysis.
  • The extracted data can also be used further for integration with any other application, according to the requirements.

Use case II: View specific Sensors details

  • Allows displaying all the details of a specific sensor type.
