Why use Drivers

Purpose I: Manage Drivers

SCALAR allows organizations to easily manage and view their drivers. After the organization account owner creates a driver, an invite is sent to the driver to enroll in the SCALAR platform. You can also resend an invite if the driver has missed an earlier invite. The account owner can also de-activate a driver from the SCALAR platform.

📘

Note

  • The invitation link is valid only for 72 hours.
  • If the driver is made inactive, the driver’s access to the Cargo application is revoked.

Purpose II: Manage Cargo app access

SCALAR allows the account owner of an organization to provide Cargo application access to the drivers. The Cargo application access requires an email ID of the driver. The status of the driver’s access to Cargo application is viewed in the portal.

📘

Note

If access is revoked, the driver cannot access Cargo application.

Purpose III: Manage Tacho card details

SCALAR allows the account owner of an organization to manage the Tacho card details of the driver. The driver assignment of the asset is identified based on the Tacho card details provided in the platform.

Purpose IV: Assign Teams

SCALAR allows the account owner of an organization to assign teams to the newly added drivers. The active drivers can also be assigned to a team from the Teams management module.

📘

Note

The driver is visible to everyone in the organization when a team is assigned.

  • Drivers can be made inactive from the SCALAR platform.

Use case II: Access teams

  • If the organization wants a driver to access a specific team, the driver can be assigned to that specific team.
